Considering 1:1? Let's talk.

As an elementary site principal, 1:1 was both exciting and terrifying. We're a GAFE K-12 district, and we deployed 7,400 iPads at the start of the 15-16 school year. Let me walk you through our 1:1 adoption and deployment process. As we worked through the kinks, stayed focused on students and celebrated the wins, we documented the journey. We’ll start with initial iPad decisions (after a one-year 8th grade 1:1 Chromebook experience), setting up the back end (vendor choices, set up needs), teacher deployment and training, and then student deployment and initial lessons (including digital citizenship and care of their iPad). We’ve designed handbooks, lesson plans and activities to share, as well as parent education agendas and resources. Your questions and areas of interest will shape our time together. Participants will leave with a solid example of 1:1 rollout (warts and all).
